Hello,

Friends call me Shawn.I love to use creative visuals to help individuals and organizations reach their goals, and tell their stories, in order to improve lives and build our society.I also love cycling, I love the movie Avatar, YouTube is my favorite space and beautiful scenery gets me every time.👍

A little about me.

I trained as a medical doctor, and I practiced clinically for a number of years. I'm also an experienced public health professional, and a self-taught visual communication expert. I believe in the power of communication to change the world, and I believe visual communication in particular and in it's various forms, is a potent tool in addressing todays problems. I am passionate about the way visual communications helps make complex things simple, helps engage audiences, change perceptions and deliver solutions.

I currently provide visual communication services as a consultant, and I am also a creative lead at Cognito Studios and Imagery, and The Cognito Project (www.wearecognito.org)

I am in my happy place when I am creating and editing photos, making films, designing graphics, creating animations, presentations and infographics.

As a trained medical doctor, for more than 10 years, I have been passionately involved in supporting the design, implementation and scale up of population-level interventions, aimed at improving the human condition, especially in the areas of HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, Nutrition, Maternal and Newborn survival, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV, Reproductive health and much more
