ABOUT SEUN

Different disciplines.
One enduring curiosity.

How do we make something complicated understandable, meaningful and useful? That question has followed me from medicine and public health into design, visual storytelling and learning.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I'm Seun.
Friends call me Shawn.

I trained as a medical doctor and spent years working in public health. Along the way, I discovered photography and the extraordinary power of a well-told story. Those interests grew into a multidisciplinary practice connecting technical knowledge and creative communication.

Today I work across communication strategy, information design, photography, filmmaking and learning design. I enjoy moving between disciplines, finding patterns and helping important ideas reach the people who can use them.

My professional work has spanned development organisations, health programmes and creative assignments in Nigeria and beyond. I am now based in Bristol, UK, and work with organisations internationally.

A question I keep returning to: What do people need to understand, and what might help them act on it?

HOW I THINK

A few things I believe.

01

Start with understanding.

Listen carefully to the people, context and purpose before choosing a format.

02

Make complexity navigable.

Respect the depth of an idea while making it easier to encounter and apply.

03

Let the story serve people.

Photography, film and design work best when they illuminate something worthwhile.
