Thoughts around Purpose and Passion

I've been listening to a lot of Seth Godin in the past few days. It's still early but I can say this much: Seth Godin will challenge your mind. He is not the kind of expert you listen to just once. You have to immerse yourself in his thoughts for you to get maximum value.
I'm putting this here for reference - thoughts around my work, passion and purpose. I'm still figuring it out but I can say this much:
As a visual communication expert, (my job, my promise, my value, my contribution to making a better world, is that) I help make important knowledge/information easier to see, learn and understand for those who would benefit from it.
(As a photographer and cinematographer, I capture the stories of life that we connect with emotionally and intellectually, towards helping us appreciate and treasure the value of life. This of course can still be tied to my value statement above, because even a photo portrait of an individual, or a video of a family milestone, tells a story that is important for the individual or family. As a graphic designer, making complex information visually appetizing is important to me. As a medical doctor, sharing and using important knowledge about health and the human body, to benefit others, is one of the key things about the discipline that resonates with me. And this explains why those years when I practiced clinical medicine, the best part about treating patients for me was educating them at their own level. And why I naturally gravitated towards preventive medicine and public health, seeing how well packaged information and programs saved more lives than one on one consultations in resource-constrained settings)
Why? (My Why): Information/Knowledge/Learning is a potent tool for positive change. People (dreams, hopes, existence, aspirations for peace and development) are destroyed by a lack of knowledge. (I've personally seen how a lack of information gives birth to depression, inactivity, mediocrity, conflict and regression, in homes, communities, businesses and in the world at large, and it irks me)
My tools are (for now): Storytelling. Visual Design. Creative Expression. And My Personal Brand (Story).
This value statement must be at the core of everything I do and aspire to.
I wrote this after a lot of meditation on some of the things I am learning from listening to and reading Seth Godin's material. This will probably get refined as I go along.
As usual I like to share these things just in case someone else gets inspired.
Let me know if you have read any of his books and what you think about his philosophy on marketing, human behavior and other things he writes about.
