A Photo Is Worth A Thousand Words - Capturing Images That Speak In Taraba State Nigeria

I took this photo while on a trip to shoot a documentary in Jalingo, Taraba state, Nigeria. Hours before I took this image, I had planned that I wanted to create an image exactly like this - light passing through a window onto a young student reading a book. As chance would have it, I found all the elements I needed to create this image, waiting for me at the location of the shoot.

This image speaks volumes to me. It depicts my some of my core values, and also tells a bit of my personal story so far through life.
